AC Esports defeated Team Vamos 2–1 on 18 October in MPL Malaysia Season 18, ending Vamos’ run of five consecutive series wins. Vamos had beaten SRG 2–0 just two days earlier.

That run began against RRQ on 18 September and continued against Bigetron MY, Invictus Gaming, FUTURE LEGENDS and SRG. AC stopped it in the teams’ final regular-season meeting, reversing the 2–0 defeat they suffered against Vamos on 6 September.

Three wins to finish a difficult regular season

AC’s result follows 2–1 victories over Invictus Gaming on 11 October and Team Rey on 17 October. All three of their closing series went the distance, and all three ended in AC’s favour.

Counting the results in AC’s official match history, they finished with four wins and ten losses across 14 series. Their late run therefore supplied three of those four victories. It is a clear improvement in results, although the scores alone do not explain what changed in their play.

Bigetron MY also finish with a win

The other series on 18 October ended with Bigetron MY beating RRQ 2–0. For AC and Vamos, the closing result gives a different ending to their recent form: AC extend their winning run to three, while Vamos’ run stops at five.
