FURIA retained the Thunderpick World Championship title after beating BetBoom 3–2 in Malta on 18 October. They had to win the final two maps after falling 1–2 behind in the best-of-five final.

The series began in FURIA’s favour with a 13–6 win on Dust2. BetBoom then took Ancient 19–16 after overtime and Nuke 13–9, putting themselves one map away from the trophy.

Mirage keeps the defence alive

FURIA won Mirage 13–11 to force the deciding map. Cache was more decisive: a 13–6 victory completed the comeback and secured consecutive Thunderpick titles after their 2025 win.

It was also FURIA’s first title of 2026, according to HLTV. The report identifies BLAST Rivals Season 2 in November 2025 as their previous trophy, giving this victory significance beyond defending one tournament.

A different final from the opening meeting

BLAST’s event results show FURIA had beaten BetBoom 2–0 in their opening group match on 14 October. The final required all five maps, and BetBoom held the series lead before FURIA recovered. Elsewhere on the closing day, Aurora beat Falcons 2–1 in the third-place match.
