Team Liquid are out of BLAST Slam VIII after losing 0-2 to GamerLegion in the Group D lower-bracket final. BLAST's official match record lists MidOne alongside m1CKe, Wisper, Boxi and tOfu for Liquid.

A winning start ends in two defeats

Liquid began the group by beating Yakult's Brothers 2-1, then lost 1-2 to Aurora. GamerLegion followed the opposite path after their own opening loss to Aurora, beating Yakult's Brothers and Liquid 2-0 in succession.

That leaves GamerLegion second in Group D and Liquid eliminated. BLAST lists the completed series under 2 October; this report is published on the morning of 3 October in Malaysia.

Last Chance decides the final Malta places

Under BLAST's format, the four group runners-up enter Last Chance and only two advance to the six-team LAN Finals. GamerLegion have cleared the group hurdle, but still need to win their place in Malta.
