South Korea and Chinese Taipei will contest the League of Legends gold medal at Aichi Sky Expo on 2 October.

Korea beat Saudi Arabia 2–0 in the semi-finals on 1 October, while Chinese Taipei defeated Vietnam by the same score. Seoul Economic Daily reports that Korea also won their meeting in this year’s group stage.

Zeka starts as Korea reach the final

Korea’s semi-final lineup featured Zeus, Canyon, Zeka, Gumayusi and Keria. Faker did not play in that series.

The final uses a best-of-five series, so three game wins are needed for gold. That gives the teams a longer contest than their best-of-one group meeting, with more opportunities to respond between games.

The schedule for Malaysian viewers

TalkEsport lists the match for noon in Japan, or 11am in Malaysia. JESU’s official final-session window runs from noon to 8pm Japan time, equivalent to 11am–7pm MYT. That window covers the scheduled session, not the expected duration of one series.
