Women studying outside IIUM can also enter the esports segment of Lioness League, according to IIUM Today. The wider festival runs from 22 to 25 October, with the gaming competition starting a day after the opening ceremony.

The published programme places the MLBB and VALORANT opening rounds on 23 October and their grand finals on 25 October. eChess is also scheduled for the final day.

What the organiser has announced for MLBB

WAFA IIUM, the organising association, advertises an MLBB prize pool of up to RM3,750 and lists KICT at IIUM as the venue. Its public post describes the tournament as female-exclusive. The amount is a stated maximum for MLBB, rather than a confirmed combined prize pool for all three games.

WAFA also says the initiative was selected for Dana Esukan KBS 2026 funding. Its stated aim is to give women opportunities to compete, develop their skills and connect with other players. That makes the event relevant to campus teams looking for organised competition beyond their own university.

What to check before putting a team together

Interested players should confirm the current registration status, eligibility rules, team requirements and any fees directly with WAFA. Those details are not established in the sources reviewed here. Having the dates and venue is useful for planning, but a team should secure the organiser’s confirmation before arranging travel.
