Liquid send TYLOO out of Champions after a 12–0 start on Lotus
A 2–1 series win keeps Liquid alive and sets up a decider against G2.

Team Liquid beat TYLOO 2–1 on 1 October, making the Chinese side the first team eliminated from VALORANT Champions Shanghai. Liquid took Split 13–8, lost Summit 7–13 and finished the series with a 13–2 win on Lotus.
TYLOO had forced that deciding map by winning all eight rounds of their defensive half on Summit, according to Insider Gaming’s match report. Their recovery kept the series alive after losing the opener.
Twelve rounds without a reply
Liquid then won every round of the first half on Lotus. TYLOO took the first two rounds after the sides switched, but Liquid closed out the next one to end the series.
Liquid now face G2 Esports in the Group C decider on 3 October. VLR lists the match at 5pm Malaysia time. The winner takes the group’s remaining playoff place; the loser is eliminated.
One more series before the playoffs
Riot’s format advances eight of the 16 teams from groups, with two series losses ending a team’s campaign. The playoffs begin on 7 October and the grand final is scheduled for 18 October.
