Malaysia’s Farish Luzman and Muhammad Hariz Hazmi Hakimin won silver in eFootball at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on 23 September. Iran took the gold after a 4–2 aggregate victory at Aichi Sky Expo.

Farish gave Malaysia the lead by winning the mobile match 2–1. In the console match, Iran’s Hassan Pajani beat Hariz 3–0, turning the overall score in Iran’s favour.

A 7–0 semi-final win came first

The Star reports that Malaysia reached the final by beating Uzbekistan across both platforms. Hariz won 5–0 on console before Farish added a 2–0 mobile victory, making the combined score 7–0.

The final followed a different pattern. Malaysia won one of the two matches, but Iran’s three-goal console victory outweighed the one-goal margin from the mobile match.

Why the two scores matter

The reported 4–2 is the combined goal total from mobile and console, not a count of matches won. Reading both scorelines explains the outcome: Farish’s opening victory gave Malaysia a lead, while Pajani’s result decided the gold.
