Malaysia lost 0–2 to Myanmar on 30 September after beating Jordan 2–0 in the quarter-finals, Bernama reports.

Malaysian player Muhammad Haqqullah Ahmad Shahrul Zaman told Bernama that excitement after taking a lead in game two contributed to mistakes the team could not recover from.
