NAVI sweep G2 to open ESL Pro League Season 24

Cache and Inferno both go NAVI's way, with Vitality next in the Swiss stage.

NAVI opened ESL Pro League Season 24 with a 2-0 victory over G2 on 3 October. They won Cache 13-7 and Inferno 13-4.

w0nderful finished the series with 33 kills and 11 deaths, according to HLTV's match statistics. The two-map result gave NAVI their first win of the event.

Vitality next for NAVI

The standings place NAVI in the 1-0 pool and G2 at 0-1. Their next opponents are Vitality and 1win respectively. G2 remain in the tournament despite the opening defeat.

Those fixtures provide different tests: NAVI can build on a winning start, while G2 need a response to avoid falling further behind. Neither team has secured a playoff place.

Eight playoff places from sixteen teams

ESL's published format starts with sixteen teams in best-of-three Swiss matches, with eight reaching the single-elimination playoffs. The whole competition is played on LAN in Katowice, Poland; the playoffs run from 9 to 11 October.
