Paper Rex recover from a map down to beat G2 and reach Champions playoffs
Wins on Haven and Lotus complete the 2–1 comeback in Shanghai.

Paper Rex secured a VALORANT Champions Shanghai playoff place on 29 September by defeating G2 Esports 2–1. PRX lost Split 9–13, then won Haven 13–11 and Lotus 13–9.
The turnaround began with a 7–0 start on Haven, according to VLR’s match report. Jinggg finished the series with 61 kills, the highest total in the match.
A playoff place without the group decider
PRX had already beaten Team Liquid in their opening series. Winning the Group C winners’ match completed their qualification, while G2 move into the decider against the winner of Team Liquid versus TYLOO.
That gives PRX time to prepare for the next stage while the remaining group matches continue. Their qualification is settled; an opponent for their opening playoff match is not established by this result alone.
The next stage starts on 7 October
Riot’s official schedule starts the playoffs on 7 October and ends with the grand final on 18 October. Eight teams advance from groups into double elimination: one loss sends a team to the lower bracket, and a second ends its tournament.
