Paper Rex are out of VALORANT Champions Shanghai after losing 2-1 to T1 in the first lower-bracket round on 9 October. PRX led the deciding map at halftime, but T1 completed the comeback that ended their tournament.

T1 took Lotus 13-7 before PRX answered with a 13-6 win on Ascent. That recovery sent the series to Summit, where PRX reached the side switch with a 9-3 advantage.

Sheep Esports reports that PRX also won the second-half pistol round. They added only one further round, through a d4v41 1v3 clutch, as T1 fought back to take the map 13-11.

The difference was concentrated in that second half: VLR records ten rounds for T1 and two for PRX. The opening lead gave PRX room to finish the series, but they could not convert it into a win.

Why this loss ends the run

Riot's eight-team playoff format uses double elimination. With PRX already in the lower bracket, this defeat removed their remaining route to the title. T1 advanced from the match; PRX's Champions campaign was over.
