Shanghai gets another CS2 Major as Perfect World confirms 2027 return
The city returns three years after Shanghai 2024. The organiser has confirmed a November–December window.

Counter-Strike’s Winter 2027 Major is returning to Shanghai. Perfect World Esports confirmed the host city on 15 September, announcing a November–December window for the second Major of 2027.
It will be Perfect World’s second Major after Shanghai 2024, where Spirit defeated FaZe in the final to win the organisation’s first Major title. The new announcement brings the tournament back to the same city three years later.
What is confirmed, and what is reported?
Perfect World’s post confirms the city, organiser and two-month window. HLTV reports a planned 22 November–12 December run across four stages, subject to format changes, and an expected US$1.25 million prize pool. Those finer details were not included in the official post and should not be treated as final terms.
The other 2027 Major is set for Buenos Aires, Argentina, with FiReSPORTS hosting the first event of the year, according to HLTV. Shanghai therefore takes the later slot on a calendar that sends both Majors outside Europe.
A host-city announcement, with more details to come
For Asian fans, the confirmed news is another Major in the region. The announcement does not name a specific arena, ticket-sale date or qualified teams. Those are the next details to watch before making attendance plans; Shanghai’s 2024 venue should not automatically be assumed to return.
