T1 sweep Movistar KOI to lock a Worlds knockout place
A 2–0 Round 4 win sends the reigning champions through, while KOI must win its final Swiss series to reach the top eight.

T1 secured a place in the Worlds 2026 Knockout Stage with a 2–0 win over Movistar KOI in a Round 4 best-of-three. The reigning champions closed the first game after a back-and-forth 40-minute fight, then finished the second in 25 minutes.
GosuGamers reported T1 won the games 20–10 and 21–8 in kills. The sweep puts T1 among the eight teams advancing from Swiss; KOI drops to a final qualifying series, where one more win is needed to reach the knockout bracket.
Doran turns the opener, T1 take control in Game 2
Movistar KOI traded leads with T1 in the opening game, but a late fight around Baron let T1 regain control and finish. In Game 2, Doran created openings across the map while Faker’s Orianna helped T1 take over team fights.
The match was a qualification series between teams on 2–1 records. Riot’s official Worlds primer says teams need three Swiss match wins to advance and are eliminated after three losses, leaving KOI with one last opportunity.
