Team Nemesis secured a PGL Wallachia Season 9 playoff place by beating Conventus Stellarum 2–1 on 23 September. Their next opponent is Xtreme Gaming in the opening upper-bracket quarter-final.

Two other teams advanced on the final group day: 1w beat Pipsqueak+4 2–0, while LGD defeated MOUZ 2–0. The three losing teams were eliminated, completing the eight-team playoff field.

The opening day in Malaysia time

Nemesis–Xtreme is scheduled for 3pm on 24 September. NAVI–LGD follows at 6pm, Aurora–GamerLegion at 9pm and Yandex–1w at midnight as Malaysia enters 25 September. These are scheduled starts and may shift with preceding series.

NAVI’s official preview confirms LGD as their first opponent. NAVI qualified after four group matches, whereas LGD needed five and won their deciding series against MOUZ on the final day.

A second chance in the bracket

The playoffs use double elimination, with best-of-three series and a best-of-five grand final. PGL lists US$1 million in total prizes, including US$300,000 for the winner. The tournament in Bucharest runs through 27 September.
