IESF has confirmed Banten, Indonesia, as the host of the 2026 World Esports Championship. Its 20 October announcement names Indonesia Convention Exhibition, BSD City, as the venue for the December tournament. This will be Indonesia’s third time hosting WEC.

The announcement lists seven competitions across CS2, Dota 2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, PUBG Mobile and eFootball. Those include separate women’s competitions in CS2 and MLBB.

Malaysia’s preparations have a December destination

In Malaysia, a 14 October Nusa Times report citing MESF named Tamm as tactical coach and Pasha as performance coach for PUBG Mobile. It described a process in which the coaches propose players for selection-committee review before MESF announces the squad.

For supporters, the confirmed venue puts a location to those preparations. The next useful details to follow are the national lineup and its opponents: they will offer a clearer basis for judging Malaysia’s chances than the host announcement alone.

Our connection to the selection process

Nusa Times previously named TopCast, Muhd Amirul Hazim Alias, among Malaysia’s PUBG Mobile selection-panel members. We disclose that connection because this is a TOPCAST publication. This report uses public sources and contains no private selection discussions.
